SOMEWHERE OUT THERE
Definately my favorite place
TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY
A significant part of my career as a professional photographer has involved various types of travel photography, ranging from glamorous holidays in the Caribbean to assignments in borderline depressive civil war banana republics.
The pictures I brought home weren't all front cover material, but they were images that would eventually tell the story as I saw it unfold.
AROUND THE WORLD
THE CARIBBEAN
As laid back as laid back can possibly be.
Images from Cuba, Guadeloupe and Tobago.
Uruguay
I rarely photograph statues. It's another artist's stonedead creation, so usually I can't be bothered.
However, the fascinating statue of the Uruguayan hero José Gervasio Artigas on his horse in downtown Montevideo somehow intrigued me.
Or maybe it was actually the monumental and hideous backdrop that really caught my eye. I wonder if I would have taken the picture at all had it not been so tasteless...?
SHETLAND ISLANDS
Young Maria is as tough as they come, working on a farm on the coast of the windy western Shetland Islands.
She wouldn't trade it for anything. Working with horses throughout the day, training and handling them as an adult pro, she's close to living her dream.
Photographing her, I was truly intrigued by her approach to such a tough life.
GUADELOUPE
Tipsy and high on weed, this sugar cane worker makes a few extra bucks showing visitors around the fields of main island, Basse-Terre.
