ANTARCTICA
"Probably the most unique piece of land and the most extraordinary wildlife".
I can hardly describe it otherwise, the tiny bit Antarctica I've experienced.
Working as expedition photographer, I've had the pleasure of visiting the Antarctic Peninsula 25 times, and the simple description above is still the one that comes to mind, whenever I think of this white, barren world.
THE ANTARCTIC LANDSCAPES
Katabatic winds, blue ice, white snow, cold mountains and sheer beauty.
Images from South Shetland Islands, the Northern Weddell Sea and the Western Antarctic Peninsula down to the Antarctic Circle.
ANTARCTIC BIRDS
The coolest penguins, skuas, southern giant petrels and other remarkable birds.
HUMAN PRESENCE
Year by year more and more tourists find their way to the world's last frontier.
