MY PHOTOGRAPHIC HISTORY
A lot of truly exciting (and truly tedious) assignments have been completed
since I was hired to do my first professional jobs in the late 1990's.
I have stuffed my bags with cameras and lenses and all sorts of nerdy accessories
and I have worn out the very same bags, cameas and lenses along the way.
35 YEARS WITH NIKON CAMERAS
F-801 / F4s / FA / FE / FM2 / F100 / E8400 / D70 / D300 / D300S / D5000 / D7000 / D7100 / D2X / D3S / D500 / D600 / D610 / D800 / D810 / D850 and probably other esteemed Nikon companions.
As a young novice I also had the pleasure of actually owning and working with various analogue SLR cameras such as Mamiya ZM, Minolta X-300 and Chinon CM-4. They all came with original 50mm prime lenses and they did a nice job, I guess.
However, in the frugal eighties I also tried out a weird lineup of dubious zoom lenses made by all sorts of far east producers; Kenlock, Vivitar, Chinon, Tokina, Tamron and others. The quality of those early production zoom lenses were at best just plain crappy and I never owned any of them for long - it was just too painful.
However, all of them were a necessary part of my ongoing photographic education that I honestly wouldn't be without, as they tought me a great deal of the importance of image quality. Or lack of...
